The Winter Soldier'

Chris Evans wielded 46 shields for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Movie prop master Russell Bobbitt was ready with aluminum shields for 'hero' shots, fiberglass ones for running and rubber look-alikes for fighting.
In comic book lore, Captain America??s famed shield is forged from indestructible Vibranium, able to withstand a direct strike from the Hulk.
On the set of ??Captain America: Winter Soldier?? prop master Russell Bobbitt had to settle for more earthly materials, amazon shoes coupon.
For closeups, Bobbitt??s team cast a metal ??hero shield?? out of aluminum.

??The metal one weighs about 12 pounds,?? he says. ??That doesn??t sound like a lot, but at the end of a 12- to 14-hour day, when you??re carrying 12 pounds on one arm, it becomes quite stressful. So we use fiberglass.??
In action scenes, actor Chris Evans used a hard or soft rubber shield, so the stunt men he fought didn??t break fingers punching it. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo used quick cuts during such scenes so the audience wouldn??t notice that the ??indestructible?? shield was bending.

Forty-six shields were used in filming. Many were harmed.
But the most important piece of the puzzle was having Evans look like he??s wielding something otherworldly.

??You??d see Chris off in a corner rehearsing with the shield, as if it was another actor,?? says Bobbitt. ??You??d see him talking to himself a bit and figuring it out.??
